"Oscar Pistorius, who is also known as ”the Blade Runner”, has shot his girlfriend to death on Valentine’s eve. This is such a tragedy. A man that is loved and respected by so many from all over the world has killed his beautiful young lover, who happens to be one of South Africa’s top models, in cold blood.

The initial “accidental-shooting burglar theory” has been dismissed by the South Afrocan (gbagaun ) police. According to the BBC there are speculations that there have been previous acts of domestic violence and altercations between the couple, that there was a terrible arguement (gbagaun ) going on just before the shooting and that this is a straightforward case of cold-blooded murder probably as a consequence of high passion.

Whatever the the truth may be, all I can say is that this is a great tragedy and we need to be careful about the kind of women that we spend our time with. Any woman that stirs up your anger and constantly provokes your wrath ought to be avoided like a plague. It is those that bring peace and tranquility into our lives that we should cherish.

I have little doubt that Pistorius, who was a great achiever, a living icon, the greatest and best known African sportsman in world history and an absolute gentleman, was provoked into a murderous rage by his pretty little lover and that she played on his insecurities and inadequacies. These are the classic traits of the biblical “strange woman”- the destroyer of men’s dreams and destinies.

Only God knows who sent this creature from the sea into this great man’s life just to destroy it. For Pistorius it is all over. In one moment of blind rage he has lost everything and he has brought shame, disgrace, sorrow and infamy upon his name and that of his family. The blood he has shed will speak against him and his lineage forever. And all because of a sexy and pretty little model who the devil sent his way.

May the Lord deliver us all from the daughters of Jezebel, Dalilah (gbagaun sic), Athalia (gbagaun sic) and Yemoja".

Goldie is reported to have died of complications resulting from Deep vein Thrombosis(DVT)

The severe headache she had before her death is one of the life threatening symptoms of DVT.

GOLDIE. I'm lost for words, how, when, why, what???? I saw her pics like 3days ago at the grammy's, on Linda's blog as well concerning her reality show with Denrele and now shes gone.

Just yesterday i and a friend were saying Goldie just does her own thing, she really is her own person and all of that, my phone comes on and i see Linda's tweet and i'm in deep shock! calls start flying everywhere and i confirm shes dead!!!!

She was her own person, an all or nothing girl, either she gets it done or doesnt even bother at all, always somehow sha had a smile on and yesterday Feb 14 2013 her chapter was closed.

Just sad indeed, that it will take her dying for people to ever say something good related to news about her. Let’s be careful with the way we just spew out bile and hateful comments. Life is too short and precious, and we don’t know tomorrow. A few hours ago she was still responding to tweets.

Please If you cant say something nice, don’t say anything at all. Life is too short, to be spent simply hating and typing out trash about someone you don’t know.

She had poked me right at the entrance of Brown’s Cafe and immediately uttered “I’m sorry, please can I have you interviewed?”
I answered “okay ma” as I walked towards her camera.
“So what does Valentine mean to you?” She asked stretching her microphone.
“I wish I knew”, I said smiling.
“What do you do on Valentine’s day?” She questioned curiously
“What I do on every other day”
I could sense disbelief but every answer I gave is the truth. Then I quickly suggested to her that I was the “wrongest” person for this interview so as not to waste more time.
She ignored and asked again “so is it safe if I conclude that you’re anti-valentine?”
I’m not. It’s just that I do a lot of loving, giving, sharing and sometimes I go extra miles on regular days. So I simply don’t break my head over Valentine.
She thanked me for my time and I hoped that meant she finally understood.

In my opinion, Valentine craze is sickening. I strongly feel it is OVERRATED and believe me I will appreciate every effort made for Valentine’s Day better if it were on any other day. So here’s my list of what makes Valentine so ugh!

The anticipation
It all starts with the many bbm  status messages that read “Valentine’s day loading” Shebi after you’ve finished loading, later today you will be in your house and still update “in my happy place with the bbm love struck smiley” , I know your type and I’m yet to understand you, but God is watching you sha. I can’t exactly explain it when I come across countdowns to February 14th. I know people who take Valentine’s day even more personal than their birthdays/wedding anniversaries. You need to chill biko

The hype
The radio, the television, the blogs… Everyone is talking about Valentine. It’s either radio stations are hyping a show for Valentine, and Aisha is reminding Alhaji how she needs to buy a table worth 1 million naira for a better view of Kim K’s baby bump, or the blogs are giving away discounted spa treatments and candle lit dinner for two. Ugh!

Thirst for gifts
This usually ends up tragic when after the long wait and high expectations, all you get is a teddy bear, key holder and a bottle of Eva wine. Don’t you worry child, your case is better than that of Temi who won’t get a simple card or the key to the Range Rover sport she had been hinting Chuks about, but will still pack her bags to spend this weekend with him in Abuja. And there are those who have by themselves ordered cakes and cream to deliver a cake that reads “I love you boo” to their offices, I will be praying for you. May God send your lover or “manager” your way sooner than you imagine.

All Red everything
So I walked into party perfect sometime last month and I noticed the “redness” but I had no idea until I walked to the card section and I was forced to call on one of the store attendants to help me search for a birthday card amongst the one million RED Valentine cards on the shelf (yes, I also expected they should have separated the shelves). Like that was not enough, the sight of mannequins in ugly red outfits is beyond me and someone reading this already has a red outfit to rock today. I hate seasonal color codes but if at all you choose to be a part of it, do it right

Emphasis on sex
I’m yet to figure out why a large number of people belong to the school of thought that Valentine is incomplete without sex. Yes, you have sex on a regular day, so what’s the fuss about? And I can bet someone somewhere is shopping for a new set of RED lingerie and handcuffs. The Lord is your strength

Proposals
This is a simple note. Dear future husband, I don’t want to be proposed to on Valentine’s Day. Thank you

Over populated restaurants
I totally hate eating out on public holidays or a day that has been set aside to do one thing or the other. If I ever decide to do this with you, note that you are very special. I will rather have specially homemade breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner… and have the restaurants spare me the CROWD, their overpriced Valentine menu list and what have you.

The movies
Here, I tend to feel for every single person who will stay home and hope to find solace in one of the many love themed movies that will be showing on television, but instead end up wishing ”le boo” existed.

Confessions
It’s so cute how a lot of people become poets on Valentine’s Day. No there’s absolutely nothing wrong. All I’m saying is, show as much love on every other day and remind your loved ones as many times as possible how much you love and cherish them. Don’t wait until someday in February, if that’s your case, it’s simply “oju aiye” (eye service)

The extra mile
I don’t break my head over Valentine but yes I could break my head over my lover’s birthday (I’m on my way to repent from being a birthday freak). When I see people plan for Valentine like it’s their wedding, I find it hard to comprehend. Like why plan to spend more than you can afford just to please a lover or any person for that matter?

The exotic trips
I knew people used to save for Valentine back then in secondary school but it was never so serious.  A colleague shared his plans with me on Monday while I was being naughty and nosy about Valentine. What he said: “I will send my girlfriend a cake, flowers and gifts on Valentine’s Day, and then we’ll be going to Ghana on Friday for the weekend. Our stay will include a spa treatment, shopping and maybe movies. I don dey save for this getaway since November o. I don’t go for vacations normally but I just want to make her happy”

I applauded him and said just a very simple prayer “May she not be on her period”

The competition
Not sure if this happens with the guys but I’m sure later today, a clique of girl friends or maybe best friends will be eager to discuss with each other their Valentine experience(s) with either a lover of six months, or a lover of five years and also show off the material gifts. It’s only normal, not everyone will end up happy


The hurt
In an interview I had with Lami Phillips sometime last month, in as much as she’s not so big on Valentine, she admitted she’ll sulk if she doesn’t get anything from the one who has her heart. Oh well, Lami is married. Just so you know, the only reason why you might be wetting your pillow tonight is if you’re over expectant. Keep Calm and Let Jesus be ya Valentine.

The morning after
No matter how amazing Valentine’s day/night turns out to be, you will have to wake up tomorrow and get back to reality. Reality here might mean different things. While some people are waking up in the arms of their husbands, wives, fiancé and fiancées, Tola is cussing Kunle for not showing up with even a “promise ring” on their 7th Valentines Day together. Cupid never promised February 14th was going to be a happily ever after something though.

Have a splendid Valentine’s Day People and never stop showing your loved ones how much you care about them. It goes beyond the gifts and flowers.

I HONESTLY DONT KNOW WHAT TO TITLE THIS AS.

I've had my fair share of relationships... The guy I thought was my last bus stop let's call him D just jabod me via bbm sef*hahaha* thinking about it now na to dey laugh....
His married now though and he and his wife are such a beautiful couple, now I see why it didn't work out.

That aside you know there are some days when you just want to be all mushy, cuddled up, jisting and all with your boo and noborry is there just you, work, your bb and bible *God dey sha*

But I was thinking about it and I'm like baba God what's the p? Everyone is in a relationship, getting engaged, married, popping babies. I have organized like 4 bridal showers and counting, done maid of honor, bridesmaid effrything, where my own dey and something just came in my head. "have you thought that I want you to take time to discover yourself,stop focusing on the relationship and let it happen and you'll marvel at the way love will sweep you off your feet, the man that is going to make you his queen might just be around you but you don't know it" and in my mind I'm like God he can like to come on time jor, all this one na long story.

But sitting down and thinking about it, being single allows me the opportunities that a relationship or marriage might restrict you from having. Sometimes i think relationships are just loooong like really!!!

I told God I said you know what, you created me, you know how I roll, you know how I function, you know what's best for me, please give me the one best suited to me that will love me and more and there was just some peace this time because I just dumped every single worry on his head, but I added sha I don't want to have to wait too long father"

I and  @SenatorBAD were talking about this whole thing and he said love is good but be with someone that you see yourself with for the next 60years, forget all the gra gra at the initial stage, your planning towards a marriage not just a wedding,its for life,its all the way don't go thinking its twitter when you'll just up and go....
I thought about it oh! Love will go oh! Its not mushy everyday, when it comes to the real deal can this ogbeni be there for me, do I see myself with him, its not fine boy all swag oh?

CNN ATTRIBUTES NIGERIANS AS THE BIGGEST SPENDERS IN THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET.

I honestly don't think this is fantastic news considering the level of poverty and all other ridiculossness going on in the country.

According to a recent CNN Feature, Nigerians have emerged as big spenders in the international market.

 In the story titled “Nigerians shop till they drop in London“, visitors from the Middle East were typically described as those that spend the most, but they now have a surprising new contender – Nigerians.

The report further talks about the increase in the number of Nigerians travelling to the UK yearly and how UK retailers have taken advantage of this growth.

The UK is a popular travel destination for Nigerians visiting friends and relatives, going on holidays or conducting business. Daily flights between Nigeria and the UK have increased in recent years, with airlines such as British Airways allowing Nigerian customers an additional 23kg of baggage free of charge.

According to the UK’s Office for National Statistics, some 142,000 Nigerians visited the UK in 2011, spending an average £107 ($172) per day. 

From January to September last year, Nigeria’s tax-free spend in the UK grew by 11% year on year, according to tourism services provider Global Blue.

UK retailers have noticed this trend and some of them have responded by tailoring their offerings to their growing Nigerian customer base.

One such collaboration seeking to further engage the growing number of Nigerian customers is that of the department store Selfridges and Style House Files. The Lagos-based fashion company has just opened an installation inside Selfridges, giving Nigerian designers a chance to widen their market and showcase their creations outside the West African country.

Omoyemi Akerele, director of Style House Files, says that Nigeria is an emerging market and Nigerians are among the five biggest spenders at the department store.

She says that although the reality in Nigeria is that most people live in poverty, the rise of sectors such as telecommunications and the diversification of the Nigerian economy beyond oil and gas has created an emerging middle class with bigger spending power.

“Their earning capacity is increasing and they’re spending on more things and not just the basic food and clothing. They’re getting on a plane and coming to London to buy things they cannot immediately find in Nigeria.”

KUNLE AFOLAYAN REFUSES TO TAKE CARE OF HIS SON?

I dont know how true this is but i got this mail on Friday 18th Jan 2013 and this is what it says:

News reaching us now is that Nollywood actor Kunle Afolayan, has been maltreating his first boy.  Diekoloreoluwa David Afolayan is Kunle’s first boy. Kunle Afolayan is currently married to another woman called Tolu but not the mother of Diekoloreoluwa. Kunle. Diekoloreoluwa’ mum and Kunle we gathered are not staying together but Kunle is in custody of the boy.

  

The very brilliant and intelligent Diekoloreoluwa was living in h*ll before his mum came to pick him up from kunle’s house. Tolu, the wife of kunle treated Diekoloreoluwa so bad due to reasons best known to her. The boy sleeps on the floor while her own children sleeps on the bed, he was never allowed to watch the TV in the house, no good food….. The mum had to pick his boy up when she heard the news.

We were told that Tolu the current housewife of Kunle often feels uncomfortable mere seeing any relatives of Kunle, that many times blocked the ways of Kunle’s family members from getting financial assistance from him. Its so unfortunate that the very brilliant Diekoloreoluwa who has won many prizes in school for good academic performance has now dropped out of school for more thean 6months now with Kunle doing absolutely nothing about it. Anyone reading this note and can talk to Kunle about Diekoloreoluwa’s situation should please do and help save the future of the boy.

My hubby came home one night calm and happy, i was surprised but happy. He's been out of control for sometime now, actually since I lost my dad two years ago. He became the CEO since my dad died and it was on the will for my husband to become the CEO and my baby brother the Managing director.

I've done everything in my power to make things right but whatever I do is not good enough,this
wasn't the same Tayo that I married.

My parents were rich and their two children were trained well, I was working in my dad's company until I had my second child, dad told me to stay at home and take care of the kids because I refused to get a maid and my grandma that was helping passed away at the time.(I lost my mom five years ago too) I enjoyed every minute of being a wife and a mom until I lost my dad.

 My husband came in that fateful day about three months ago, looked at me and said "I don't love you Kemi, I never did. I appreciate everything you have done but it is time I move on with my life,you can stay in this house, keep the cars and I'll arrange for monthly allowance for you and the kids. If your brother agrees with my lawyer's terms, I'll pay him generously for his share in the company. Thanks to your father, I own 70% of the company. Don't try to fight this, it is clearly written in your father's will."

 I woke up the following day at the hospital and by my side was dad's lawyer, she looked at me and smiled! Two weeks later, the lawyer came to see me at home and to my surprise, she brought with her a letter handwritten by my dad. I wish I could hug dad at that very minute,there was a clause in the will, if Tayo leaves me without any fault of mine or if he dies before me, I have to take over the company.

The very beautiful Tiwa Savage needs no introduction to us all, well guess what? Tiwa got married to her friend and manager T Billz, i was told it happened last week.
